Salt Quest Papercraft Collectibles (PCC) is an original papercraft product line featuring fantasy characters. My largest project, Salt Quest PCC presents a medieval fantasy world where heroic knights and adventurers fight against evil monsters and villains. Each 'set' portrays an event in the fantasy world, such as camping in a field or guarding a mountain pass. Sets aim to tell a story by presenting characters' personalities and traits. Sets are not limited, as multiple sets together can create entirely new scenes or scenarios.
In total there are four sets with five characters. Each set contains three sheets of pre-cut paper featuring characters, accessories, environmental pieces, and props. Assembly is entirely glue-less, and the papercrafts come pre-cut, making it easy to punch out pieces for assembly. I developed a completely original template and assembly system for this project, where none of my models are based on any existing designs. For exact cuts and packaging I utilized a laser cutting device, which demanded special training.
