Carmel By-The-Sea is one of several costal cities in California, and hosts an assortment of marine wildlife. Pelicans
and seals can commonly be spotted walking along Monastery Beach, flying overhead between the city and Point Lobos. The birds roost on rocky
cliff-structures that jet above the waves. When the right time comes, seals push schools of fish towards the shore, causing a swarm of birds
and mammals to partake in a feeding frenzy.
All of these photographs were taken at Carmel By-The-Sea, mainly, Lobos Point and Monastery Beach. Over a three day period,
I took a series of daytrips to prime locations, and photographed as much as I could. This is a focused selection of my favorite picks.
All photos were shot in RAW with a Nikon 3400 camera, and edited in post through photoshop.
